In my book Alex has just been revived from the dead and is now going to try and escape the military base. Alex is now in control and has now figured out that by picturing the berserker doing something in his mind, some how make the berserker do it. For example Alex is trying to find his friends Simon, and Zee and when he pictured the berserker ripping the cell door off, it did just that. While they await quietly for the army to make a move, they look out the window to see that not only every military personnel from the base have gathered in the army, but all of the troops in the army have retreated and come back to the hospital that was made into their base.
Alex describes a military helicopter, and he pictured in his mind the berserker holding the helicopter and keeping it from taking off. The berserker jumped out the window, then came another creature from upstairs; as they tear through the parking lot full of troops Alex jumps and hits the ground on all fours. He stands up and "like a hurricane of sound" he screamed across the parking lot "ENOUGH!"
The book takes place somewhere in Europe, I know this because Alex mentions "quid" several times in the book. Quid is the money people use in Europe.
The author always wants you leaning in for the next thing that is going to happen in the book and I do just that when i read this series of books.
