In my book Execution by Alexandar Gordon Smith, Alex was just injected by his doctor with tranqualizer acid so the military could do experiments on him. Before the doctor came in Zee (a boy inmune to the necter) told alex about how what the scientist were doing was worse than furnace. Alex describes death as "endless sinking in the ocean, not ever being able to breath". Alex never described being scared before this time of his dying process. Alex then describes how he started to float up to the surface. He talks about the ocean water getting clearer, as if his body was soaking up all the bad in the ocean. Alex felt more power, not being so weak anymore, as he was when he was drained of all his necter.
Alex wakes up and all the doctors that once surrounded the table were lying on the ground, dead. The 2 berserkers stood at the end of the bed, having to neal down so that their deformed heads did not hit the cealing. The man between them was a black suit from back in furnace; only he wasnt in black but the hospital gown just like Alex. Alex saw the two electrical handles that had shocked is heart back to life; The black suit only said "you were dead for nearly five minutes, didnt think you were coming back". Alex said nothing.
This book is the fifth book in the furnace series. The first book is called Lockdown, the second, Solitary, the third, Death Sentence, the fourth, Fugitives, and the fifth, Execution.
The setting changes in every book but where you left in the last book is the same place you start in the next book, until Alex finds his way out out of furnace.

Execution page 60-71
The first setting takes place in a dream of Alex's. He is tied to a tree in and orchard. the sky is gray, and the clouds black. A young boy is brought in by a mod of towns people. The boy's hands are nailed to the tree and he hangs there. Alex can not hear anything and he can not tough the ground. A women walks forward out of the crowd and some how Alex knew she was the boy's mother. Some how Alex knew that the boy was Alfred Furnace, the man that had put him in the prison that was impossible to break out of; until Alex broke out. The women took a knife out of her coat and slashed the boy open from the top of his chest to the bottom of his stomach. Alex read the lips of the mother "for killing your brother" she whispered next to his ear. After the crowd left a figure appeared. the figure asked the boy "do you want to die? or avenge your brothers death"? Alex couple now hear. The boy only said "you killed him".
The stranger ripped one of the black branches down from the tree and put it in the boys mouth. Black liquid spilled into the boys mouth, that could only be known as nectar. The boy drank, and drank, and drank not stopping. As Alfred drank the nectar it seemed to drain the stranger of his energy. Alex tried to scream but as soon as he opened his mouth the strangers arm stretched 20 feet from where he stand to Alex's face. The touch was cold to his face, leaving him breathless.
When Alex awoke he was sitting straight up, in a metal chair, still wire wrapped around his body disabling movement. His arms were laid out on separate tables, still wired down as well. Zee was sitting just a few feet away in a chair in a uniform that Alex thought were furnace prison uniforms until he saw the military insignia. They talked for a while until Zee whispered into Alex's ear "their just as crazy here as the warden at furnace". He was talking about the experiments being done on soldiers, using the nectar.
